May We Wish You a Happy May!

Happy May!!

May we wish you all a happy May? As we move towards the warm weather we have the great news that the Governor of Arizona has opened the state. I think that we are all more than ready to get out and begin to find our new normal. It has been a very long and challenging year and I hope everyone is well. Amazingly enough, the year did not affect the real estate market from being one of the strongest markets I have worked in. The only negative is that of housing inventory shortage. The number of homes being listed is at an all time low. But on the other hand, the interest rates for buyers is also at an all time low. This makes for a very strong market and a great time to sell a home for the highest and best price. With Real Estate being an essential business we have been working on overtime in this market. But I do stop and recognize that many of our local businesses have not. The effects of COVID on our small local businesses has been a challenge. Between COVID closures and restrictions which have been pushing people to shop online, many small businesses are struggling to stay in business. Please as you are beginning to come out and about, remember to support our small hometown businesses. To find out what is going on in the community go to Theresadesoto.com for a community connection. If you are curious of what your home is worth feel free to contact us for a free consultation. And remember we can help you with all your real estate needs, whether buying your new home, selling your current home ……Or both!

“Dear Little Violet,
Don’t be afraid!
Lift your blue eyes
From the rock’s mossy shade!
All the birds call for you
Out of the sky;
May is here, waiting,
And here, too, am I.”

Deep on this dark, cold, last night of December,
is one tiny flame of a flickering ember.
Like so many memories of Decembers gone by,
tucked in our hearts, memories safely reside,
reminiscing our blessings through all the past years,
of those we have loved, our regrets, and our tears.
As December surrenders to January’s dawn,
that one tiny ember still flickers on,
sparking the flame to new memories born
on the horizon of this New Year’s morn!

Welcome November!

Welcome November!

November often blows in like a hurricane. Other times it lingers like the warmth of the sun. For many, the month fills us with gratitude. It represents family holidays, too. As warm and cozy as November seems to many, others consider the 11th month of the year to be somewhat bleary. Even though many consider November to be the last month of Autumn, it’s not. On the astronomical calendar, Autumn doesn’t end until the middle of December. So, for those fall loving people, cling to every moment of cinnamon candles and crimson-colored walks by reminding your winter-loving friends of this. Many of our fall celebrations do take place in September, October, and November, though. National Gingerbread Cookie Day, Daylight Savings Time wraps up, and of course, Thanksgiving fills us up. Remember to be safe and check out our Community Connection at Theresadesoto.com. for local events and information. If you are from out of town come on out to Prescott, “Everybody’s Hometown” for a visit. Already here, we are glad you came. Thinking about staying? And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.”

Hello October

Hello October!

Wow the year is flying by. The first full Moon of fall—in this case, the Harvest Moon—will appear on Thursday, October 1. Later in the month, on Saturday, October 31 (Halloween), the second full Moon appears. This is the Hunter’s Moon, which will be special for two reasons: it’s a rare Halloween full Moon and a Blue Moon! Also keep an eye out for the Draconid meteor shower in the late evening of October 9, and the Orionid meteor shower in the predawn hours of October 21–22. With the autumnal equinox in late September, foliage season has officially begun across much of the U.S. Did you know that the foliage color is trigged by the amount of daylight (not weather)? Remember to be safe and check out our Community Connection at Theresadesoto.com. for local events and information. If you are from out of town come on out to Prescott, “Everybody’s Hometown” for a visit. Already here, we are glad you came. Thinking about staying? We can help you find your dream home, sell your current home, or both!

Remember we are your friendly hometown Realtors

We are making dreams come true . . . one home at a time!

October’s the month
When the smallest breeze
Gives us a shower
Of autumn leaves.
Bonfires and pumpkins,
Leaves sailing down —
October is red
And golden and brown.
