As we welcome in March we say goodbye to Old Man Winter and hello to spring!! What a fantastic winter we had in Prescott this year. The snow storm on Feb. 21-22, which brought historic accumulation to Flagstaff, dropped over 20” of snow in Prescott and left the Mayor declaring a State of Emergency for the town. I would like to thank our town and all the amazing people who reside here. During this magnificent storm the town of Prescott had no street closures or power outages, according to one report in the local newspaper. What I love about Prescott is the four seasons. What a rare snowfall, and after the storm the brilliant sun is shining as faithful as ever in Arizona. We locals love the beauty of the not so frequent snowfalls and we are grateful that it not only helps our lakes and water table, but it also keeps our fire danger low.
I also want to thank all my faithful readers. There is not a month that goes by that I do not receive positive feedback about my monthly newsletter. While placing a spotlight on our wonderful “everybody’s home town” of Prescott, I also get to bring you the month’s fun facts and whimsical Trivial Tid Bits along with historical events and dates to remember. So let’s take a look at what we dug up for March………….. And remember I can help with all of your real estate needs whether selling your current home or buying a new home……Or both! I am your friendly hometown Realtor.

“The March wind roars
Like a lion in the sky,
And makes us shiver
As he passes by.
When winds are soft,
and the days are warm and clear,
just like a gentle lamb,
then spring is here.”
